What is Wind mill?

Windmill is an instrument to demonstrate the conversion of mechanical energy into electrical energy.

Herewith the help of battery{pencil cells) and small motor the fan will rotate and bulb (LED) will glow,as if rotating fan is producing electricity!

In today's society,there is an increasing emphasis on learning about alternative energy sources, including wind. In some are as, large wind turbines provide a portion of the energy to American communities. Providing a hands-on example for elementary school students may help them better under stand how a wind mill or wind turbine works and how it can be used to create energy. A wind turbine is a device that converts kinetic energy from the wind into mechanical energy. If the mechanical energy is used to produce electricity,the device may be called a wind generator or wind charger.If the mechanical energy is used to drive machinery, such as for grinding grain or pumping water,the device is called a windmill or wind pump.Developed for over a millennium, today's wind turbine are manufactured in a range of vertical and horizontal axis types.The smallest turbines are used for applications such as battery charging or auxiliary power on sailing boats;while large grid-connected arrays of turbines are becoming an increasingly large source of commercial electric power.

HOW IT WORKS?

When we spins the Pulley, Fan Blade also rotates and 3V DC Motor works as a generator and generates electricity and hence LED lighten and our street light will glow and lighten the Road.
